A Day In the Life of Me

I love it,

yet hate it at the same time. Last night was daylight savings, so we set our clocks back an hour (ok, Jay set them all). I love gaining the extra hour, but it's hard to get used to. All of our sleeping schedules just get knocked out of whack.

Last night was Jake's 18th birthday. Mom gave him a surprise party. We went and enjoyed the pizza and cake. Then Jake and all his friends went to a movie. We hung out with mom and dad for a while and then went to WalMart in search of "The Nightmare Before Christmas." We couldn't find it though and asked someone and they said the people who order the movies must've thought it was a christmas movie and not a halloween one. We ended up buying new rugs for our bathroom (SO COOL!) and one for in front of the front door inside. I really like them both. I never thought it would be fun to decorate, but now I think it could be a lot of fun.

Griffin is being blessed today at 1:00. It's nice to not have to run around all crazy like trying to get ready for church on time. I am still in my pj's actually and it is 10:08. I have to cook bacon for the potato bar for the the lunch after Griffin's blessing before I take a shower though. So, I guess I have some kind of an excuse.

Holy cow!

I looked over at Madolin and that is what I saw! I bet she will be walking on her own by the time she is a year. Although, Jay says that she will be walking by 10 months, but that's only 2 months away. I guess we'll see. She is just growing up so fast! She is so much fun! I seriously love the expressions and noises she makes. She is such a happy baby! Today I worked on her Tinkerbell Halloween costume for most of the day. I have it all done except for the zipper which I need to buy and then sew on.

Hyrum watched Aladdin for the first time today. We just got it in the mail and I popped it in for him to watch. He really liked it although I don't know if it will be one of his favorites. I was really surprised by how many lines I remembered from it. I could sing all the songs and say most of the lines. It has been years and years since I've watched it, too. I guess it used to be a favorite of mine. LOL.

I have my photography class tomorrow and I'm not really looking forward to it. Sad, I know. It is my major. I really like developing and printing my own pictures, but we have 4 projects due tomorrow and I am not as prepared as I should be. I'm just glad we have until the end of class to turn them in. I might post some of the pictures later after I get them back.

A bobot?

So, Hyrum will walk around with this on his foot and come up to me and ask, "a bobot?". It really is hilarious! He wouldn't look at me to take a picture, but I thought this turned out pretty good. He totally cracks me up! He loves the animated movie "Robots" and is his latest favorite. I guess he just wants to be one of them.

Okay, okay, I'll be better!

I promise! I actually am WANTING to come post here more often now... I need to at least post pictures and tell the stories behind them before I forget! I *need* the stories to scrapbook. ;) Anyway, here are some from yesterday...

Hyrum has his hand over his mouth because he thought it was hilarious that I got mad at him when he would splash and get me wet! They had so much fun in the tub together yesterday! Hyrum would get Maddy so excited she would be kicking so much. And then Hyrum would splash and I'd get mad and they both would laugh. My silly kids!

And it seems the actual fall weather won't ever get here, but the leaves are falling anyway. When Hyrum was taking his nap Jay and I took Maddy out and put her in the leaves to see what she would do. She liked them... enough to try to eat them, apparently. Here are two of my favorite pictures from that photo shoot.

How cute is she?!? I can't wait to scrap these pictures!

Here are the main things I need to do today...
1. Frost cookies.
2. Dishes
3. Go to my mom's to sew! (I seriously have to do this today!)
4. Go to class tonight.
5. Clean bathrooms.
